Hassle-Free Returns and Exchanges


All online purchases can be returned for a full refund, or exchanged, excluding shipping and handling, within 14 days of the original date of purchase, provided the item:


1.  Has not been washed;
2.  Has not been worn (except in the house to try on);
3.  Is returned in the original condition it was received.


Defective merchandise (what's a defect?) can be returned for a full refund, including the original shipping and handling charges, within 14 days of the original date of purchase.


For all returns, please Contact Us with your Order Number and the reason for return. Once we have received and checked the item(s), we will issue a refund accordingly. Refunds will be issued in the form of payment originally received.


All returns/exchanges must be sent via a trackable method (we recommend Fedex or UPS). Islamic Outfitters is not responsible for lost shipments. Shipping charges may apply to exchange orders. For orders placed using a free shipping promotion, the return amount will reflect a deduction for the original shipping and handling costs covered by Islamic Outfitters.


Exchanging an Item?


If you need to exchange an item, simply Contact Us within 10 days of the original date of purchase with your Order Number and the item(s) you would like to exchange. Once we have received and checked the item(s), we will process the exchange order. Shipping charges may apply.


Since we do not store your credit card information, exchanges can only be made for items priced the same. If you need to exchange an item for one with a different price, you may return the original item for a refund (see return policy above) and place a new order for the second item.


Shipping and Delivery


How will my order be shipped?Shipments are generally sent via USPS. Orders will typically arrive within 3-7 business days, following credit card approval. We do not currently offer any expedited shipping options.


Do you ship worldwide?We currently ship to all countries which the United States Postal Service offers delivery service. While we try to maintain accurate shipping quotes during checkout, we reserve the right to adjust shipping and handling charges as needed (we would of course let you know if the charges need to be adjusted).


What are your shipping and handling rates?Once you add an item to your shopping cart, simply chose your location from the shipping drop-down box and hit the Recalculate button on the bottom of the page to view the S&H charges for your order.

Islamic Outfitters values its customers and respects their privacy. As a general rule, we collect only the information needed to process and complete an order.

We will never share, sell or rent any of your personal or financial information with any unrelated third parties.


Protecting the safety of your financial and personal information is very important to us. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt and protect your billing and payment information as it is transmitted to us. We never even see your credit card information, and once your card has been charged and your order is complete, we remove all financial and personal information from our servers to ensure the highest level of security.


To be sure your connection is secure, look at the bottom status bar of your browser window. Depending on your browser, if you see an unbroken key or a closed lock the SSL is active and your information is secure.


You can also check the URL line of your browser - when accessing a secure server, the first characters of the site address will change from "http" to "https".

How long will it take for my order to be processed?Availability information is included on each product page, however orders are usually processed and shipped within 1-2 business days.


What's Considered a Defect


Because all of our products have at least some element of manual work, no two products are ever the same. Bead and embroidery placement, thread color, fabric texture and color, etc. may vary slightly from one product to another.


The cloth used in our line of embroidered kurtas is 100% cotton or a cotton-blend, much of which is either partially or fully hand-woven on a mix of machines and traditional cloth looms, bringing a distinct look and feel to each shirt. Also, within the cloth there are often slight variations in color, fall and texture, all of which are naturally occurring elements due to the traditional manufacturing process.


Each of the shirts is sewn using a traditional cast-iron sewing machine, which requires frequent manual lubrication. Sometimes that oil can spread to the shirt itself. Rest assured that if the shirt is washed according to the care instructions outlined on the care label, the oil will simply wash off the shirt. This is also the case for chalk outlines used during the embroidery process.
